In my opinion, this is one of the greatest inventions as far as canoe camping is concerned. I bought my first wenonah kevlar canoe in 2004 and could not be more happy with it. It only weighs 43 lbs and can really take you deep into canoe country with the portages much easier than using a heavier canoe. Here is a video of how a kevlar canoe is made.
